New varieties and flexible tray format support growers across the season
Earley Ornamentals has launched its 2027 Bedding and Perennial catalogues, bringing together carefully selected new introductions chosen for their resilience, uniformity and lasting garden performance, alongside the trusted varieties that continue to deliver strong results season after season.
The new catalogues cover the full breadth of Earley Ornamentals’ offering, from Bedding, Basket and Patio plants through to Alpines, Herbaceous Perennials and seasonal favourites.
New Bedding for 2027
The 2027 Bedding range includes a wide range of commercial seed and cutting raised introductions, bringing new colours, combinations and genetics to the collection.
Among the headline additions are several standout varieties, including Gerbera Majorette, which produces abundant, long-lasting flowers on compact plants. Combining three complementary varieties in a single young plant, the new Sel® Trixi® range delivers balanced colour, uniform growth and season-long performance – Calibrachoa Sel® Trixi® Tricolore ’20 is a great example from this range.
For autumn and spring production, Primula Sunny Side Up offers bright flowers on compact, uniform plants, while new Senetti® Magenta Spider adds distinctive early-season interest to the popular Senetti® range.
Other new introductions include seed-raised Nemesia Tiny Treasures, a compact, early-flowering series, alongside cutting-raised Sel® Elph Red White Stripes and Nesia™, which combines uniform growth with large flowers on a well-branched plant.
For premium container programmes, Pentas lanceolata F1 StreetArt™ offers exceptionally large flower clusters on vigorous, well-branched plants. For summer production, Zinnia Belize Double maintains a uniform, dome-shaped habit with good weather tolerance, while Petunia Sky® produces distinctive speckled flowers and a semi-trailing habit.
New Ranunculus Bloomingdale II and Sprinkles Dwarf F1 extend the choice for autumn production, offering fully double flowers, compact habits and reliable pot performance.
New 51-cell tray for selected Bedding products
A key development for the 2027 Bedding range is the introduction of a new 51-cell tray, containing 50 plants, on selected products.
Developed in response to customer feedback, the new format provides a flexible smaller-quantity option, filling a gap between existing tray sizes. It also offers improved product stability and structure, supporting efficient crop management, handling and delivery.
The new format gives growers greater flexibility in planning production, particularly for smaller quantities, while maintaining the quality and consistency expected of Earley Ornamentals.
New Perennials for 2027
The 2027 Perennial range has also been expanded with a selection of new varieties, expanding the range with more choice, texture and lasting garden performance.
New introductions include Dianthus deltoides Brilliant, forming a dense mat covered in vivid crimson flowers, and Coreopsis Solar Fancy and Solar Jewel, selected for their excellent weather tolerance and reliable performance.
Five new Helianthemum varieties – Bronze Carpet, Cerise Queen, Fire Dragon, Henfield Brilliant and The Bride – join the range, alongside compact Perovskia Little Spire®, with silver-grey foliage and lavender-blue flowers with upright stems.
The range has also been expanded with Rudbeckia Suneckia® Carla, Mia and Ophelia, plus Salvia Amistad Pink and Berry Blast.
New foliage options include Crassula Variegata, with its cream-and-green variegated foliage; Hebe Joan Mac, featuring glossy, deep-purple foliage with abundant flower spikes; and Senecio Silvery Velvet, ideal for adding texture and contrast for mixed perennial plantings.
