Rewarding Four Oaks 2019 Show

Leading independent UK producer and supplier of young plants Earley Ornamentals reported a high number of enquiries after its successful Four Oaks 2019 show, which saw the launch of its latest catalogues for the company’s 2019/20 Bedding, Basket & Patio and Perennial ranges.

Right at the front of each catalogue is the 2020 Range Supplement filled with new seed and cutting raised young plant options for all seasons, including the company’s 2020 bedding, basket and patio highlights.

The 2020 additions have been aligned to market influences for the year ahead and feature the likes of award-winning BeautiCal™. This is now available in two new colours including French Vanilla and Bordeaux.

Other range additions include new varieties like the all-weather Begonia Viking Chocolate, which provides a fast-growing mass of colour. Large plants loaded with flowers make it great for landscapes and containers. No other begonia series in this class offers chocolate foliage.

New Bella® Fuchsia options

Four new colours - Faya, Laura, Maria and Lisa - have been added to the versatile Bella® Fuchsia series. Early flowering, free branching and highly floriferous, Bella® Fuchsia ensures impressive colour sales of neat compact plants from April.

Providing a great commercial growing opportunity, the increasing number of semi-trailing double-flowered varieties also makes it ideal for the hanging pot market.

Four Oaks visitors to the company’s stand were impressed with the updated range, as Earley Ornamentals Managing Director, Simon Earley explains: “This is a key event in the UK ornamental horticulture calendar and this year’s stand really helped to demonstrate the variety and quality of young plants we deliver.

“What’s more people were especially interested in the flexibility of service we are able to offer when it comes to ordering and production.

“We’re always looking to make our customers’ lives easier, which is why we took the decision to include the range supplements within each of the catalogues so everything is in one place. It’s easy to see the new 2020 variety and colour additions and, of course, the lines we’ve chosen to discontinue.

“Customers will have received a copy of both of the catalogues in the post but for anyone who wishes to get hold of them you can either download them from our website or call our office.

“The show also gave us the opportunity to talk about the recent investment in our production facilities. Contributing to productivity enhancement, this year we’ve made a £200,000+ investment in new gapping machinery, which has streamlined our operations even more.”
